Francisco Briceño

Legal and strategic advice for investing in Venezuela.

I support international investors, companies and family offices from opportunity assessment through to business execution.

Investor concerns

If you are considering investing or operating in Venezuela, I can help you assess opportunities and make decisions grounded in legal analysis and hands-on market experience.

01

Is the proposed investment commercially and legally viable?

02

How can I structure my investment and protect my capital?

03

What should I assess when choosing local partners and counterparties?

04

How can I adapt and develop my business during execution?

If these questions feel familiar, let's talk.

Approach

Professional profile

My practice combines international experience, legal advisory work in Venezuela and business leadership.

Francisco Briceño

International experience

I worked as an international lawyer at Sullivan & Cromwell (New York) on project finance, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, and placements on the New York Stock Exchange. Previously, I worked as a lawyer at the Inter-American Development Bank (Washington) on financial projects and interned with the Banking and Finance Committee of the United States Congress. I hold an LLM in International Law from American University.

Practice in Venezuela

I was a partner and director at Arthur Andersen, where I developed the private legal practice—in corporate law, finance, foreign investment and e-commerce—into one of the largest in the country. I led the practice at Alianza Legal, focusing on corporate advisory, capital markets, financial services, tax and privatizations. I am an investment adviser and public securities broker certified by the National Securities Superintendency (SNV), and I taught Law at IESA for almost two decades.

Business leadership

As CEO of Multival Group, I lead companies in trade, finance and real estate. I led Sinergia, a publicly traded collective investment entity, and the brokerage firm Kairos. I was president of the Venezuelan Chamber of Electronic Commerce (Cavecom-e) and a director of the French-Venezuelan and Japanese-Venezuelan chambers of commerce.
